The Dresser

Names have been omitted in order to avoid embarrassing the subject of this true life tale.

Stretched out naked in his bed he smiled at the thought of the woman of his dreams. As he went through the evening’s events with her he became aroused. Unable to reason his arousal away he decided to do something about it. He moved his dresser in front of his door as a precautionary measure against his roomies. He padded silently back to his king sized bed stepping over his discarded briefs and settled into bed. Deciding he needed a visual aid he fired up his mini laptop and opened up a PG rated photo of the woman he’d described as a walking wet dream. He placed the laptop on his stomach and went to work recalling her smile, the sensual sound of her voice and laugh.

Deep in the throes of his masturbatory fantasy he moaned the woman’s name loudly several times. Unfortunately one of his roomies just happened to walk past the young man’s door at that precise moment. Fearing that his friend was ill the room mate pushed against the door. Hearing the noise in the hall his second room mate rushed out to see what was wrong. Upon discovering that the door was blocked the roomie panicked and attempted to kick in the door. When that didn’t work he got a small ax out of the closet and began hacking away at the door and finally was able to kick the door in sending the dresser crashing to the floor.

It was an old dresser and the landing wasn’t kind and it was damaged. The young man on the bed was too far gone into his orgasm and yelled out the young woman’s name again. As he lay there on the bed shuddering, lap top on his stomach, sheets a mess, stomach and thighs drenched with this own seed the room mate ax over his shoulder stepped over the dresser and fully entered the room. The young man looked up and stared at the damaged door and dresser. He’d been so wrapped up in the moment he had not noticed the door being kicked in. For days he’s been unable to control the raging hard on that hit him at the thought of her. The door and dresser would have to be replaced but it was so worth it he’d thought to himself. He also made a mental note to tell his new crush about the door and dresser. Just imaging her embarrassed reaction to his teasing made him want her all over again.

The second room mate stepped in took one look at the scene and began yelling. He stalked over to the young man on the bed still holding his semi-erect member and stared at the computer. The young woman in the photo was a friend of his. Someone he had introduced to the great masturbator. The roomie reached out and smacked him on the head. “Don’t you dare!” he warned. The young man looked up at his room mate wordlessly then gave him a huge shit eating grin. The room mate stared back and shook his head, “Damn, I hope she is at least going to make an honest man out of you.”

Several hours later the young man’s mother arrived and surveyed the damage. “What happened” she asked. The young man shrugged and smiled sheepishly at his mother. Several days later a new dresser arrived to go with the nifty new lock on the new door.

Lesson Learned

My friends find it hysterical that I will not hesitate to punch a guy out when it’s called for yet when faced with the details of their sex life I cringe. Contrary to what my friends may think I am not neither uptight nor a prude when it comes to sex. I’m a very passionate open minded female when it comes to sex. I just feel that what happens between couples should stay between them. I don’t feel the need to share the details of my sex life with my friends and I sure as hell don’t want to know theirs. Despite this or maybe because they love to see me flush red with embarrassment they insist on sharing their sex lives with me.

Thanks to them I ‘m developing a cell phone phobia. It all started about a year ago when my best friend handed me her cell phone. She told me that there were some really cute pictures of her baby stored in the phone that she wanted me to see. As I went through the baby’s pictures I came across some risqué pictures of her in all her glory and of her then lover’s personal junk. I handed the phone back to her as if it burned me. She laughed when noticed I was blushing, “God, Mia you’re such a baby!” After that day I refused to look into her cell phone.

Just when I thought it was safe last night my classmate, psycho chick decided to show me some pictures of her spanking brand new fiancé whom she wants me to meet. She showed me a bunch of pictures of them smiling together and some of him solo. It’s obvious she’s really in love with the guy... and then she showed me a picture of his penis. What is it with these chicks needing a picture of their man’s junk on their phone? I’m saying is the time between love making sessions so far and few they’re afraid they’re going to forget what his equipment looks like? Oh yeah and why on earth do they feel the need to share it with me? I’m not a nun, i'm not celibate, I know what a damn penis looks like.

“That’s all mine!” she said as I averted my eyes from the penis. “And you decided to show it to me. Wow I am so honored. Words fail me.” She laughed and then called my attention to the next photo and promised it was not pornographic. Just before she closed her phone she said, "Mia, check this out.” and clicked on a video clip. At first my brain didn’t register what my eyes were seeing, “Holy Monkey!” I gasped when I realized the video was of her stroking her fiancé off. I slapped my hand over my eyes lest I see him reach paradise and asked her to stop the video. I looked up at her, “Well meeting him is going to be kind of awkward now.” I said as I felt the color creeping into my cheeks and the tips of my ears getting hot. “Mia, you are such a prude!” she said as she embraced me.

Moral of the story? Next time someone asks me to look at the pictures stored in their cell phone I’m walking away. I’ve learned my lesson.

I Wonder If Hallmark Makes a Card For That?

Hand to God I love my friends the fact that they feel the need to share even the most intimate details of their lives with me cracks me up. The fact that they’ll often wake me up in the middle of the night because they can’t wait to do so makes me love them even more. Ordinarily I would’ve let the call go straight to voice mail but this was the third time it had rang…obviously it was important.

Hello

Were you sleeping?

Of course its 4 am on a school night dude!

(He snickered)

Shut up, just ignore that. I’m ashamed of myself for even saying that. What time is it out there?

It’s 9 am

Right, I’m going to so remind myself to call you at 4 am London time.

Well yes that’s why I called now I figured you’d be home. It seems I can’t reach you lately. A bloke can take that personally you know.

Sorry you’re not the only one that’s told me that. Life’s been hectic lately. What’s going on is everything okay?

Fantastic! I called to share some good news with my favorite American.

Oh snizap I love good news hit me with it.

I had a threesome last night!

A threesome?

(I had to laugh)

And you called to share the news with me? I am so honored, really I am.

You should be you’re my best mate the first one I thought to about this.

I think we need to get you some more friends then.

You'll always be my first choice, can't replace the best.

I thought you were going to settle down this year?

Well the one girl I want to settle down with is in New York and has a boyfriend and is taking forever for her to move her bum out here.

That whore.

You know Mia all you have to do is set your boyfriend to the side and I’d commit to you. It’s not like I haven’t asked you to marry me.

What and deprive you of your bachelorhood and living out your fantasies? I would never be so selfish!

What are some of your fantasies?

The most dominant one right now involves me getting at least 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. My body tingles just thinking about it. Whoo hoo lordy, but enough about me and my twisted fantasies. Let’s get back to your news. You know the question begs to be asked…were they females?

He laughed so loud I actually had to yank the phone away from my ear.

It’s because I’m in London isn’t it? That’s why you ask?

Uh yes.

You know I have offered to show you what a real Scotsman wears under his kilt lass.

You don’t wear a kilt.

I would if you wanted me to.

Oh hush it you. Without getting into graphic details my man how did the threesome come about?

Two Filipina girls in my uni approached me about it.

Get out, the ones that have been flirting with you since last semester?

Yes!

Did you use protection and did you pay or was it a freebie? Economic times are way too hard now adays to be throwing money away like that.

No, I did not pay and yes, I used protection!

Good boy. Well then there’s not much for me to say except congratulations on living out a common male fantasy.

Thank you

I wonder if hallmark makes a card for that?

You’re killing me.

Lord knows I try.

Genius

My peeps and by my peeps I mean certain females from my generation are geniuses and by geniuses I mean idiots, total idiots. Genius female decided to have sex with her equally brilliant boyfriend at her job while on duty during the over night shift. In a flash of utter brilliance the two geniuses decided to film themselves doing the deed….they used the office surveillance camera…taped right over the surveillance video and then forgot about it and left the video in the camera. I told you they were geniuses.

As fate would have it a pipe in the ceiling busted a few days later flooding the entire facility and damaging customer’s property. Corporate all men by the way decided that they wanted to view the surveillance tape for insurance purposes in front of some suits and insurance agents also all men. You may now gasp.

--It’s not funny!

-Au Contraire Mon Chéri I beg to differ that crap is hysterical!

--Screw you!

-Female stop the violence. Come on you know if it had been anyone else you would be dying right now, true yes?

--Maybe.

-Definitely.

--You’re so stupid.

-Could be but at least a conference room full of men did not just spend the morning watching my hoo-hah on a humongous TV screen.

--Oh God.

-Look stop beating yourself up over it. It can’t be undone so instead of making yourself crazy find the humor in it and laugh.

--Oh God

-From what I heard no one outside of corporate knows it was you.

--What you mean?

-Okay well the news about the video tape is making the rounds but the head honchos are not revealing who the female was so unless you tell anyone about it no one will know it was you. As for future employment I’m pretty sure they won’t reveal the reason you were fired. They have an image to protect and it wouldn’t look too good on them for clients to find out that instead of taking care of business the employees were taking care of business and videotaping over security tapes.

She groaned.

-At least you went out with a bang, pun intended.

--God you’re so twisted!

-That goes without saying 3 kinds of twisted last I counted and yet none of them involve me doing the humpty on video. Imagine that.

--I’m going to be sick.

-I promise you will get over this. Look at what it did for Paris Hilton.

She laughed.

-See that’s a start.

--Oh God I just had a thought; they didn’t give me the tape back.

-No?

--No! Lord knows how many copies were made of that tape and passed around. Oh my God.

-Oh snap.

--What?!

-If I were you I’d check you tube every day.

Eh, What Do You Know About a Blow job?

A friend has been having marital problems; she’s unhappy and as a result hasn’t been having sex with her husband. Her husband well the man is clueless he doesn’t understand why she is unhappy all he wants is for her to touch his penis, caress it do something with it. He comes from a sexually inexperienced background and really knows nothing of his wife’s sexual background prior to hooking up with her. The woman was the poster child for promiscuity. If he’d known this I’m sure he wouldn’t have approached her with this question, “Eh what do you know about blow jobs?”

She and I were discussing his question when a guy over heard us, he wiggled his eyebrows at me and as he laughed said, “So Mia what do you know about blow jobs?” I looked at him from head to toe and smiled,“Nothing I’d be willing to share with you my man.” He laughed and then pouted at me, “ Aww man I am crushed! I’m so disappointed now!” “Yeah well life is full of disappointment dude, better you should learn this lesson now while you’re young and hung and not later on when you’re an old man dealing with erectile dysfunction.”

As my friend struggled to keep from laughing he shook his head and stared at me,"God damn, you're evil. You really know how to kill a dream." I arched an eyebrow at him and smiled, "What me evil? Na man sometimes a guy needs to know when to let go of an impossible dream."

Batwoman is a Big Lesbian

Attention comic book collectors! In a move that probably has my lipstick lesbian grandmother dancing the mambo in her grave New York's DC Comics is reintroducing Batwoman -- as a big lipstick lesbian in a July issue of DC Comics called “52”.

For those unfamiliar with the term, a lipstick lesbian is a feminine lesbian as opposed to the buzz cut plaid wearing dyke stereotype. Batwoman’s alter ego is socialite Kathy Kane and this time around she is 5ft 10 inches tall. You hear that Jackie? She’s the same height as you! That’s one big heffa. Oh yeah and she has a beautiful ex police detective Renee Montoya as her girlfriend. You go girl! Okay that’s where the similarity to Jackie ends. Jackie has her boyfriend Carl, but she’s still one tall ass heffa.

According to news reports the re-invention of Batwoman is part of an attempt to introduce diversity into the super hero world and if you ask me it’s about freaking time. I mean you know rumors have been swirling around Batman and his boy toy wonder Robin for years. Needless to say there are some people who oppose Batwoman being made into a lesbian but to those people I say chill relax it ain’t that serious. Whether you like it or not whether you are tolerant or not the fact remains that there are gay people in this world get over it. I think that giving people something they can identify with is freaking fantastic. I remember as a kid watching West Side Story and being totally amazed and proud that the sharks were Boriquas like me. It wasn’t until I got old enough to understand stereotypes that I was insulted by the movie and I found out that only one of the stars (Rita Moreno) was Puerto Rican but still just the fact that they had Puerto Ricans on a screen was heaven for me.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of lust…

I’m all late in finding out this program called The Silver Ring Thing but in my defense I just saw it on my local news today. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The program is basically a traveling revival show that promotes sexual abstinence among teens. Hmmm it's a Christian supremacist teenage abstinence program that’s what it is.

They use comedy, music, sketches and prayer to get their message across. The teens that sign up for the program get a silver ring (guess that’s where the name came from)inscribed with the following inside: "God wants you to be holy, so you should keep clear of all sexual sin. Then each of you will control your body and live in holiness and honor." No bull that’s what the ring actually says. Groovy baby I am way into funky silver jewelry! I think it would go rather nicely with the silver necklace I got a few years ago as a birthday gift; it has a disk inscribed with Psalm 23. They should give those out too at their revivals. When you sign up not only do you get the ring for 15 bucks but shock of all shocks you get a bible! But not just any bible folks you get a bible that will help you stay strong to your commitment. The teen graduates of the program also sign a covenant "before God Almighty" to remain virgins. Many of its events are held at churches. Why am I not surprised?

I am a big supporter of sex education amongst kids and the reality is that abstinence is the only 100 percent effective method of preventing STD’s and unwanted pregnancies. But unlike the people who run the Silver Ring Thing Program I don’t spend my days with my head in the sand. I realize that kids don’t always adhere to their pledge of abstinence and because they don’t,we should be teaching them to throw on a condom if they are going to have sex right? Hell no, according to the Silver Ring Thing. Condoms are evil and they are not effective in preventing disease and unwanted pregnancies! Eh? WTF did they say? Of course their not effective, not if you leave them in their wrapper or on a store shelf and brainwash kids into thinking they are ineffective. Never mind what countless studies have said about the effectiveness of condoms and ineffectiveness of abstinence programs: "Abstinence campaigns such as the Silver Ring Thing do delay sexual activity, but don’t prevent it. 80 percent break their vows and out of that only 1/3 will use condoms because of the misinformation that they have been given about condoms. These people are also less likely to get themselves tested for std’s and pregnancies out of guilt for breaking their vows. According to a Columbia University study. The result, a paper published in the British Medical Journal shows, that abstinence programs are "associated with an increase in the number of pregnancies among partners of young male participants".

No need to adjust your glasses you read that right: abstinence training increases the rate of teenage pregnancy.

Poppycock! According to the Silver Ring Thing those studies were rigged by the researchers to produce the results the researchers wanted. We’ll just ignore the fact that it has been repeatedly proven that abstinence programs, Jesus and his holy apostle-endorsed or otherwise, do nada to help prevent STDs and unwanted pregnancies. In fact I've seen studies that state that kids who take part in these programs are even more likely to get certain STDs than kids who have the common sense to just slip on a “rain coat” and do the deed.

My other beef with the Silver Ring Thing program is that it is faith based and until recently was funded with federal money. WTF?! Isn’t that a violation of separation of church and state? I believe that’s what I learned in my Political Science class ,I dunno maybe I wasn’t paying attention the day we discussed the 1st amendment. Yes indeedy it is a violation, I checked my notes just to make sure. Which is why I am assuming the ACLU sued the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The suit claimed that the Silver Ring Thing Program illegally funneled over $1 million of tax payers' money into this Christian supremacist teenage abstinence program. I understand that these people mean well but HELLO these are the same people who raised holy hell when federally funded clinics were using tax dollars to subsidize abortions for women and providing birth control for teens, isn’t that ummm just a tad bit hypocritical? Well the ACLU won the lawsuit and the Bush administration suspended a federal grant to the Silver Ring Thing , saying it appears to use tax money for religious activities, and “includes both secular and religious components that are not adequately safeguarded."

In filings with the Internal Revenue Service, the Silver Ring Thing Program organization describes its mission as "evangelistic ministry" with an emphasis on "evangelistic crusade planning." The ACLU said it will be monitoring the programs activities. "We're really pleased the government has recognized Silver Ring Thing was misusing public dollars to promote its own faith over all others," said senior staff attorney Julie Sternberg. "It's improper for the federal government to underwrite a national road show designed to convert teenagers to a particular faith."

As I end this post let us bow our head in prayer…
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of lust…., I will have no sex for I have made a pledge; thine silver ring and chastity bible comfort me…thine virginity shall remain intact until I marry….and if I do have sex I will stay away from condoms because they don’t work the studies were rigged…Amen

How to Talk To Kids About Sex

This post is a continuation of yesterday’s post. It’s in response to a comment, knowing that people don’t always read comments I felt that this was important enough to get it’s own post.

After reading yesterday’s post Jewaira asked, “But what if you have missed that "pre-teen" stage and find it awkward to talk to your kids about the subject? How do you bring it up?”
My own parents didn't do it with me until I was 15. The best way to bring it up is just be direct. I know some parents find it awkward but ask yourself how did YOU find out about sex and don't you want better for YOUR child?

Take a day when your household is not too hectic or go for a walk or a drive. Once you and your child are alone take a deep breath and bring it up. You might want to say something like. "Hey this is kind of embarrassing for me so work with me on this. I need to talk to you about sex." Your kid will be embarrassed too and may laugh. But that's okay it's a nervous reaction. Let them know that you respect them enough as a person to feel that you guys can have an adult conversation between the both of you. Ask them what do THEY know about sex. You'd be surprise how much facts and myths they know.
Set them straight on the myths and then introduce some stats on teen pregnancies, STD's and AIDs. You don't need to get too graphic or technical. Tell them that all of that stuff can be prevented with a condom. Let them know abstinence is best but that you're a realistic parent and know that for some people it's not an option they want to pursue. Tell them sex is a big responsibility and not to allow themselves to be pressured into doing it until they are ready. Don't talk down to them, kids know when they're being patronized. Look at it as if you were having the same convo with your best friend. Keep it real and relaxed.

What you have to do is assure them that they can come to you or that there are ways to avoid being a statistic and about the availability of birth control and that if they ever feel the need that you would prefer they come to you and you'll make sure they get the birth control they need. Tell them you're not judging them that you yourself were their age once and that sex is a natural part of their lives at that age. Purchase a box of condoms put it somewhere where they can get to it without having to come to you that way they have a sense of privacy.

Tell them that you have no desire to be "all in their business" but that you just want to keep them healthy and baby free. Let them ask you questions and answer them honestly no matter how embarrassing. If they freeze up on you continue your talk and just let them know that when they are ready to talk you are ready to listen and answer questions.

My mother told me something that has stuck with me ever since and made all the difference. She told me that she loved me unconditionally and trusted me and that I should do the same with her b/c she was the one person on this earth that would never judge me or turn their back on me just because I did something she didn’t agree with. She went on to further state that sometimes you tell your friends secrets and when you have a falling out they will blab your secrets all over the place out of anger. “I’d never do that b/c I love you and would never want anyone to think badly of you. We may not always agree on things but I’d never betray you b/c it'd be the same as betraying myself."
I thought about what she said and in time realized she was right. The result is I tell my mom everything even stuff that makes her blush...lol But I know that I can come to her to vent, or for advice and she doesn't judge she listens and what I tell her stays with her.

Raising Kids, Teenagers and Sex : The Talk

Per usual I was over at Miss Mabrouk’s place, she’s going to have start charging me rent soon and read an article on teen pregnancy in a Ohio high school. After stating her opinion "When confronted by tragic news like this, I'm so pleased I live in a Muslim society. Put it in a larger perspective: the culture, the attitudes, the freedoms, the fostering - all contributing factors together result in two words: child abuse.” Ritzy posed a valid question “Or should the blame fall only on this girl - and the 63 other who are pregnant at this early age?"It is this question that inspired today’s post. There will be those who disagree with me citing the increase in the nationwide growth of abstinence-based programs. In Ohio, the Bush's administration and the state's health department have awarded $32 million in grants to Ohio agencies for abstinence education since 2001. Meanwhile funding for programs that are geared towards providing sexual education and free condoms as well as birth control advice have been cut.
Talk about hiding one’s head in the sand! The fact is teenagers are not going to stop having sex just because free access to condoms is kept from them. Parents have to step up to the plate and talk with their kids, open lines of communication. A big problem in this country is that we’re always looking to blame someone for something. It’s the school’s fault, it’s the government’s fault, this is a mantra I am sick of hearing when it comes to teen pregnancy. I always tell parents to take a look in the mirror b/c that’s the person they should be blaming.

The time to open the lines of communication is not when they are teenagers, it’s when they are small children. Don’t be afraid to talk to your kids. If you’re proud of them for the tiniest thing let them know. They need this! All of this contributes to their self esteem and a teenager who has a positive self image is less likely to put themselves in bonehead situations. As a child my mother would often compliment me on the smallest things and it made a big difference on how I perceived myself. For example at 8 years old I started writing short stories. Looking back now they were horrible, but you know what? My mom would read them and discuss them with me saying things she liked the way I described the girls dress or she liked the way it ended. She never talked down to me. As I got older she would involve me in family decisions saying she trusted my judgment. What did this do for me you ask? It made me a confident person, I am not a follower I have always trusted my own judgment in matters and never felt the need to crumble under peer pressure.

When I got my first serious boyfriend my mother stepped up to the plate and had “the talk” with me. I already knew about how babies were made thanks to sex education but my mother opened a door for me so that if the time ever came that I wanted to be sexually active I would know what my options were and could come to her. She even took me to a doctor had them prescribe birth control for me and talk to me about the long term effects on my body and reproductive system that having sex at a young age caused. Her attitude was that she would rather have me informed, protected and know what was going on rather than have me sneaking around getting pregnant and then hiding a belly or worse. Did her actions cause me to run around having sex like it was going out of style? No actually it stopped me from having sex; it made me take my time because now I was aware of all the responsibility that went along with it. When my two younger brothers got to the age where girls were calling the house for them my parents had the very same talk with them as well. My father then purchased a box of condoms and put it out it in an area that was accessible to them. And no my brothers didn’t go out and have sexapolooza, they also waited until they were older and ready. Why? Because they were informed and respected the girls they were dating enough to wait. There are those that would argue that my parents were permissive but I disagree. My parents were being realistic and remembering what it was like to be a teenager with raging hormones. They wanted to ensure that none of us would be making them grandparents before we were all ready for the responsibility that it entailed. Unfortunately a lot of parents aren’t like that. They think that by discussing sex with their children that they are sending the message that they are granting the kids permission to go out and boink. I have news for parents they are going to do it regardless. It’s up to you if you want them to go out there ignorant or educated. It’s up to you to educate your children to teach them the difference betweenfacts and myths so that they can make informed choices. They may surprise you once you open up them lines of communication. From a 2000 study on teen pregnancy comes the following “It has been found that teens who have a good relationship with their parents are less likely to experience a pregnancy. Good communication between parents and their children is the key to ensuring children make the right decisions when it comes to their sexual activity. Education is also vitally important in helping youth know about their options when it comes to sex. Teaching teens about using contraception each and every time they have sex is imperative to healthy sexual relationships.”

Kids are not going to stop having sex just because they are taught that abstinence is the safest venue when it comes to sex. Hormones don’t want to hear that crap.
The fact that so many kids do get pregnant should be telling society something. However I don’t excuse the kids either. We’re not living in the dark ages. They should know better. They know how babies are made, that much is at least covered in schools even with no formal sex education classes. It is covered in science class when they study human anatomy and the reproductive system. If your school doesn’t have a program where they have free condoms break down and buy some. It will cost you less than a meal at Mickey D’s and will keep you safe. Do the research before you have sex. Girls do not leave the birth control decisions up to your partner. Most boys will give 1001 excuses for not using a condom. Bottom line it’s your life, your body and your future that will be the most effected by an unwanted pregnancy. Guys respect the girl enough to carry one with you or to wait until you have some. Can’t wait? Well then say hello to Palmela or Handrietta, at least you can’t get your hand pregnant or get an STD from it. Hairy palms and the loss of your vision is another thing, I kid children, I kid.

The article I read asked the following:
Are teens getting appropriate sex education? Do they have access to birth control and are they using it consistently? It’s not just about sex education it’s about providing them with free birth control. Birth control they can get without their parents consent. Because honestly I doubt there has ever been a child who has asked their parent, “Mommy may I have sex with Tommy?” Teenagers need to know that they can get free birth control and birth control advice from somewhere. They need to know it won’t get back to their parents. This won’t encourage kids who never thought about having sex before into doing it but it will encourage kids who practice unsafe sex to go in and get what they need so they don’t become another statistic. If you give it they will come and use it consistently if they know their parents won’t find out.

Has the stigma of unwed motherhood lost its edge?” Thankfully yes it has! But that’s not the reason kids are getting knocked up. Please refer to what I’ve written for the answer to that. That’s the reason so many career aged women are having kids despite being solo.

Bottom line people teenagers should know as much about sex and birth control as they do about their computers, Ipods, and Play Stations and parents shouldn’t be afraid, embarrassed or so entrenched in their support of abstinence that they don’t talk to their children about what may be a life changing decision, “Babies born to teen mothers tend to have a lower birth weight, have a higher risk of suffering from abuse or neglect and tend to perform poorly in school. Only a small number of teen mothers are likely to complete high school and even fewer will go on to higher education. Teen mothers are also more likely to end up on welfare. “ If you’re a kid reading this don’t become part of the statistics you have options, use a condom each and every time! If you’re a parent, do your kid and yourself a favor sit down and talk. You loved them enough to take them this far,so swallow your pride and talk! Help them continue of the path you’ve set for them by giving them the information that they need.
