Friday, May 27, 2011Blonde Moment #108273![]() I was deep into my work when I felt someone at my back. I spun my chair around and mom chuckled “Your dad is courting me today; he brought me a bag full of candy.” Drawing my attention to the handful of Hershey Kisses she offered me. I playfully snatched one of her hand. “God, I love Hershey’s Kisses. Thanks ma. ” and quickly unwrapped the one I’d taken from her hand. Mom smiled and nodded placing a handful of kisses beside my keyboard. “I know, that’s why I brought you these and not the other stuff he got for me.” As soon as I was done I reached for another this time stopping to truly savor it. “I wished they made them in like huge chocolate bars.” Mom stared at me for a second shook her head side to side then chuckled and said, “They do, it’s called a Hershey Bar...PLAIN!” Let’s just call that my Blonde Moment #108273 shall we? 0 comment from: ![]() Friday, July 02, 2010Another Blonde Moment![]() I can never get enough of “blonde” moments especially when I’m not the “blonde” in question. A quick look at the caller ID let me know my sister was calling me which was kind of odd considering she was in the next room. Caity: Mia, did ma remember to pay the phone bill? Me: The house phone? Yeah, she paid it last week. Caity: No, I mean the t-mobile bill. Me: Uh yeah she did. Caity: Are you sure? Maybe you should ask her cause my friend just instant messaged me and told me she’s been calling my phone and got a message that it was disconnected. I thought about what she told me and removed the phone from my ear to look at the number she was calling from once again. Sure enough she was calling me from her phone. I also remembered that her computer is out of commission so any instant message would have had to come via her phone’s data plan. Me: Caity….*snicker* ahhh …*snicker* think about what you just asked me. Caity: What? I gave an exasperated sigh and allowed her to think about what she was telling me. When she still seemed clueless I proceeded. Me: Uh Caity…where are you calling me from? Caity: My room. I just had to shake my head at that Me: I’ll just give you a minute to think about what you just said. Where are you calling me from? Caity: My….oh! obviously the fact that she had been calling me from her supposedly disconnected phone just hit her and she started giggling. Caity: Oh…I feel special. Me: As well you should. *snicker* Labels: blonde moment Click here to read entire post. @

0 comment from: ![]() Tuesday, June 15, 2010Blonde Moment![]() A friend from Louisiana emailed me a photo of her modeling her soon to be wedding dress. The dress tightly hugged my Cajun curvaceous friend’s body. Coming from such a huge cultural melting pot like NY I tend to forget not all places are enmeshed as we are. The following “blonde” moment is a result of that. Me: you need to buy a faja for the dress. Friend: What’s that? Me: my bad, that's a girdle in Spanish. Friend: Ooh, I like that word better. I'm going to start saying that...so is that Cuban or Spanish? Labels: blonde moment, friends Click here to read entire post. @
