Must be something in the water they're drinking...

Do not adjust your glasses, no you haven't spent too much time staring at your computer monitor. No it's not a human lynx. That's ear hair your looking at. Go ahead lean in for a closer look. It's hair, growing from his ears.

Longest Ear Hair

Quoted From Site:"Radhakant Bajpai of Naya Ganj, Uttar Pradesh, India, has hair sprouting from the centre of his outer ears (middle of the pinna) that measures an incredible 13.2 cm (5.19 in) at its longest point. The length of the 50-year-old's pinna pelt was confirmed by medical examiner Dr. R P Gupta." I love the fact that he added this, "Making it to Guinness World Records is indeed a special occasion for me and my family," said Radhakant. "God has been very kind to me."

Longest Nails

Quoted From Site:"Shridhar Chillal of Poona, India had his record-breaking fingernails measured on the set of Guinness World Records: Primetime. The combined length of the five nails of his left hand were found to be a staggering 6.15 m (20 ft 2.25 in). Shridhar does not grow the nails on his right hand.
His ambition to grow his nails started from a young age. He says, "As a boy, I had an inclination to do something unique and outstanding. One day, I just happened to read about a Chinese saint who grew his nails and thought I could do that to create a world record." But how easy was it to achieve such a record-breaking length? "Growing my nails has been a really traumatic experience, as I had to take the utmost care in nurturing their growth during the last 48 years. For as many years I have used my right hand for all my day-to-day chores and nobody can believe I have also had to forego a peaceful night's sleep. So it's against all the odds of daily life including reading, writing, cycling, walking, and so on, that I have successfully grown my nails." Shridhar's hand is now permanently disfigured from supporting the weight of the nails all these years, and nerve damage has resulted in deafness in his left ear. When asked if it was worth the effort and pain, he replied: "What does man not do for fame? He jumps from boats, dives from planes and does stunts on motorcycles. This is also done for fame... So, yes, I will do it all over again if I were to have another life." Heaven forbid his he has his hands full and gets an itchy butt.

I don't know why people do these things but after the weekend I've had, I'm sure glad that they do! Check out the rest of the record holders on Guinness World Records
