Friday, August 12, 2005Light n FluffyI try to keep my blog like my mom’s pancakes “light and fluffy” but so much stuff has been going on in the world that at times it has to creep in on in here. I never thought I’d live to see this. I mean I had hoped but now it is here: Israel is ending its occupation of Gaza. They’ve occupied it for 38 yrs and event though they are not giving as much as they should or as much as the UN outlined in their partition plan it is more than a lot of people expected, more than a lot of people wanted to give. It is not all of historic Palestine, it is not even the 67 boarders but it is a start! There’s a lot of crumbling on both sides but the thing is I’ve never understood Israel’s stance on Palestinians. To me it made no sense especially when you take into account all the abuse endured by the Jews throughout history and the reason that Israel was founded. Knowing all of this, how can you deny others the same rights? Pffttt… never have been able to figure that one out. I hope neither side’s sabotages this historic moment. Those people need to get their heads out of their asses and realize time moves on the world changes and this will happen one way or another. It may not happen the way they want it to happen but it is happening none the less… for people who are so religious they are blind to what is God’s will. 1 comment from: Darth Weasel,
