I lived out of my suitcases.. I never knew where I was going or If i was coming back to my room to sleep until we were out of the apartment...These people were vampires!! They barely slept... we'd be up early in the morning, running errands.. in the afternoon people would visit.. we'd eat out, go to a club,or Rasha's and Ahmed's. or they'd come to us.. the house was always full, they were always smoking, drinking.. and Ahmed would always look at me with a serious face and tell me in his arabic accent, "Maria, I keel ju".. which of course would crack me up.. sometimes when no one was looking he'd look at me and run his thumb across his throat and that of course would make us laugh harder b/c no one but he and I would know why I was laughing...His wife rasha and I became great friends, it broke my heart to see her crying when it was time for me to come home. I promised to return.
Ahmed of course dealt with my leaving in his own way "Maria I do not want ju to leave. I keel ju and put you in suit case keep you here." "oh yeah buddy that's gonna work" and Whomp! He hits me with a pillow.. lol Posted by Hello
